Sara Apelkvist creates minimalist and functional ceramics inspired by the natural tones and clean lines of Nordic and Japanese design. Sara has a degree in Visual Communications and worked as a graphic and web designer for fifteen years. She is also an ikebana artist, tea sommelier, volunteer gardening teacher at Mt. Washington Elementary School and volunteer brand manager for WriteGirl. From Sweden, Sara has lived in the U.S. for twenty years, both in New York, where she took her first pottery class and now in Los Angeles.
